Humanistic counselling may be right for you if you’re looking for a space where you can talk openly and feel accepted as you are. It focuses on your own experiences, thoughts, and feelings, rather than labels, diagnoses, or being told what to do.
This is a client-led approach, meaning your experiences and priorities guide our work together. While you set the direction, my role is not passive. I will listen closely, reflect with you, and gently challenge patterns or beliefs where it feels helpful, always with care and respect. Together, we can explore new perspectives at a pace that feels right for you
You don’t need to be in crisis or have a clear goal to benefit from counselling. Many people come simply because something feels difficult, confusing, or heavy, or because they want space to reflect and reconnect with themselves.
It’s common to feel unsure about why you’re coming, or to struggle to put things into words. You might be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, low, anxious, or disconnected, or you might just have a sense that you need space to talk. Whatever brings you, you don’t need to explain or justify it. We can begin wherever you are and gently explore what feels present for you. Counselling offers time and space to make sense of your experiences in a supportive, non-judgemental environment.
