Annie Peace Counselling

These Terms & Conditions govern the counselling services provided by Annie Peace Counselling. By booking or attending counselling sessions, you agree to the terms outlined below.


1. Counselling Services

Annie Peace Counselling provides professional counselling services to support emotional wellbeing and personal development. Counselling is not a medical service and does not replace medical, psychiatric, or emergency care.

If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact your GP, NHS 111, or emergency services.


2. Professional Standards

Annie Peace Counselling works in accordance with:

The BACP Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions

UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018

Relevant safeguarding legislation

The counsellor engages in regular professional supervision, as required by BACP, with client information anonymised wherever possible.


3. Appointments

Sessions last approximately 60 minutes unless otherwise agreed

Sessions may be delivered in person / online / outdoors

Appointment times are reserved specifically for you


4. Fees and Payment

Session fees are £55 per session

Payment is due in advance

Payment methods accepted: bank transfer / cash 

Missed or late payments may result in sessions being paused or cancelled.


5. Cancellation Policy

A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a session

Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged at the full fee

Non-attendance without notice will be charged in full

This policy is in place to ensure fairness and availability for all clients.


6. Confidentiality

All counselling sessions are confidential in line with BACP ethical guidance.

Confidentiality may be broken only where:

There is a serious risk of harm to you or others

There are safeguarding concerns involving a child or vulnerable adult

Disclosure is required by law (e.g. court order)

Where possible, this will be discussed with you before any disclosure is made.

7. Data Protection

Personal data is handled in accordance with UK GDPR.
Please refer to the Privacy Policy for full details on how your data is collected, stored, and protected.


8. Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for:

Attending sessions on time

Engaging honestly and respectfully in the counselling process

Informing the counsellor of any relevant changes to their circumstances

Counselling is a collaborative process, and outcomes cannot be guaranteed.


9. Online Counselling (if applicable)

For online sessions:

Clients are responsible for ensuring a private, secure environment

A stable internet connection is required

Annie Peace Counselling is not responsible for technical failures outside its control


10. Ending Counselling

Counselling may be ended:

By the client at any time

By the counsellor, with appropriate notice and support, if counselling is no longer appropriate or ethical

Where possible, endings will be planned and discussed collaboratively.


11. Complaints

If you have concerns about the service, please raise them directly with Annie Peace Counselling in the first instance.

If the issue cannot be resolved, you may follow the BACP Professional Conduct Procedure.


12. Changes to These Terms

These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time.
 Any changes will be published on this page with an updated revision date.
